    FAQ

    Questions sellers ask

    Is LiveSellerIQ made by Whatnot?

No. LiveSellerIQ is an independent tool for live sellers and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Whatnot, TikTok, eBay or Meta.

What fees does the calculator use?

By default, an 8% platform commission plus 2.9% payment processing on the buyer's total (sale price, shipping and sales tax) and $0.30 per order. These match Whatnot's standard seller fees. You can change all three under "Fees, tax and other assumptions" to match your category or platform.

Does it work for TikTok Shop, eBay Live or other platforms?

Yes. Set the commission and processing rates to match the platform you sell on. The rest of the math is the same for any live auction or live sale.

What does "take-home per hour" include?

Your yearly profit after fees, item cost, supplies, giveaways and income tax, divided by every hour you work: show time plus prep and packing. Raise the prep hours if sourcing trips take extra time.

    What if items don't sell?

The calculator counts items sold. Items with no bids roll to your next show at no extra cost, but they use show time, so set "items sold per hour" to your real sold count.

Is my data saved or shared?

Your inputs are saved only in this browser on this device so they're there next time. Nothing is sent to us, and there's no account.

Can I put it on my phone like an app?

Yes. On iPhone, open this site in Safari, tap Share, then "Add to Home Screen." On Android or desktop Chrome, use the "Install app" button at the top, or "Install app" in the browser menu. It works offline once installed.

    Is this tax advice?

No. The tax rate is a simple estimate you choose. Talk with a tax professional about your actual situation.
